Milky Design Inspiration
Inspired by a friend and third generation dairy farmer with the fourth generation nipping at his heals and hailing from rural North Western Victoria, “Milky” is an recognition of dairy farmers across the country. Farming may be considered one of the lifebloods of this beautiful country from beef, dairy and wool to cropping and vegetable growing, but there is no doubt there is an intensity about running a dairy that rivals any other industry.
Regardless of hail, rain, heat, dust, floods or drought running a dairy is a 7 day a week, 52 weeks of a year business. Dairy cows are treated like royalty and the very essence of any successful farm. A lifestyle of morning sunrises, cow sh!t and loyal working dogs mixed with a variety of complex machinery and long hours.
“Milky” is our way to say we appreciate the dedication of everyone involved in the dairy industry.
Meet the Milky Characters
Delilah
Voluptuous leader of the herd. Likely to push through a fence to get to greener grass. Rule breaker, who enjoys late night political conversations with the bull across the river. Aspires to be fashion model.
Mako Mutt
Comical, loyal and enthusiastic. Loves kids, pats, barking and chasing balls. Rebellious, naughty streak, known to harass unsuspecting cats, alpacas, horses and cattle. Aspires to be a working dog and sleeping on the master bed.
Myrtle
Feminine, kind natured and motherly, loves daises and pretty flowers. If she had one wish it would be for world peace. Adores puppies and kittens. Aspires to be a kindergarten teacher.
Barbara
Barbara has been a reliable herd member and all round good, old girl for as long as the other cows can remember. Although she is considered both beautiful and mysterious. She has aspirations to travel to distant places.
